Jeff Girard and Walter Zinn
solid footing
In professor Walter Zinn's (right) logistic course, teams of Fisher MBAs devise solutions to complex problems facing businesses across the country. For DSW, students developed a strategy to decentralize the nation's leading shoe retailer's cardboard box suppliers. With this new plan implemented, Distribution and Transportation Director Jeff Girard (left) estimates the company will save nearly a half million dollars. Through Fisher courses, students gain real-world experience, problem-solving skills, teamwork and an opportunity to show achievement to employers.
