Butler was on a team of analysts
awarded runner-up in the 2000 Best Application of Decision Analysis
Competition sponsored by the Decision Analysis Society of INFORMS.
Richard
J. Murdock was the first recipient
of the Ted Simson Faculty Appreciation Award, was invited to Ohio
States Presidents Salute to Undergraduate Academic
Achievement by five students and is a fellow of the John Glenn
Institute. He also received an Undergraduate Program Teaching
Award from the Fisher College.

A. Tomassini was elected vice president
for publications of the American Accounting Association.
