David A. Rismiller

Mr. Rismiller served as Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and director of FirsTier Financial, Inc. and its lead bank, FirsTier Bank, N.A., Omaha, until FirsTier’s merger with U.S. Bancorp, following which he retired. Prior to joining FirsTier Financial, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Commerce Bank of Kansas City, N.A.

Following FirsTier’s merger, Mr. Rismiller served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of America First Financial Institutions Management, L.L.C., member of the Board of Managers and part owner of the firm. He retired from this position December 31, 2005, after selling his interest in this company,

Mr. Rismiller serves on the Board of Governors, executive committee and is treasurer of Joslyn Art Museum. He is a director and executive committee member of Assurity Life Insurance Co., director and executive committee member of Cereal Food Processors Inc., Trustee, Midwest Research Institute, Lifetime director and past president American Royal Association and member U.S. Strategic Command Consultation Committee. He is a member of Omaha Country Club and Mission Hills Country Club.

Mr. Rismiller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Previous responsibilities include Federal Reserve 10th District representative Federal Advisory Council, director, Duncan Aviation Inc., director, Omaha Zoological Society, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce Greater Kansas City, Director, Board of Trade of Kansas City, Governor and Treasurer, Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben, Executive Committee and Director, Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Trustees University Missouri Kansas City, director Red Roof Inns, director Civic Council Kansas City and member Bankers Roundtable.

At Ohio State, in addition to his role as a Foundation Board director, David is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Max M. Fisher College of Business – from which he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2000, and where he and his wife, Anne (M.A., English, 1966), established the David A. Rismiller Professorship in Finance, through which his son, David Jr., and daughter, Cynthia, are recognized at the Canfield Society level of The Presidents Club. Mr. Rismiller has committed to increase his giving to his professorship in finance, with the goal to bring it to chair level. David and Anne are lifetime members of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc. and are recognized at the Scotts Society level of The Presidents Club. They reside in Naples, Florida, and Omaha, Nebraska.
