Assurance of Learning

These web pages contain the documentation related to Assurance of Learning for AACSB International Maintenance of Accreditation for the Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Accreditation was extended in April of 2009.

Assurance of Learning documentation covers seven degree programs. At Fisher College, there is one general business program, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Within the general business program, students choose a specialization from among 12 areas. Accounting is one of those 12 areas but is accredited separately.

Four master’s level degree programs are covered under this Maintenance of Accreditation, with a fifth, the Master of Business Operational Excellence, starting in December of 2008, after the Maintenance of Accreditation time frame. The three Masters of Business Administration (Full-Time, Working Professionals and Executive MBA) programs used common learning goals and are evaluated within the framework of a single document. Finally, the different Ph.D. programs are also evaluated within the framework of a single document. The Learning Goals for the degree programs are listed here.

The Assessment Tools and Procedures document linked on this page is extracted from the unpublished document Volume I: Maintenance Reports, which includes the executive summary, yearly maintenance reports and faculty data tables.

The next Assessment Plan will take place in concert with a curriculum revision that will take place ahead of a Fall 2012 conversion from semesters to quarter.

The navigation bar at left points you to documents related to Assurance of Learning for each degree program.
