Dean's Advisory Council: Paul T. Yin

Paul Yin (SBS, BBS, JP) is the Chairman and CEO of Dah Chung Industrial Company Ltd, a highly successful privately owned family business for over thirty five years specializing initially in the production of precision metal products. Today the business has ventured into other areas of manufacturing as well as trading and property investment.

Paul is Immediate Past President (now Honorary Permanent President) of The Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong. He is additionally Chairman Emeritus-cum-Inaugural Chairman of Hong Kong Brand Development Council, Honorable Chairman of Hong Kong Fastener Association and Federation of Hong Kong Machinery and Metal Industries and Executive Member of the Political Consultative Committee of Qingdao City, Shandong Province

He has also served in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Central Policy Unit; the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; Hong Kong Labour Advisory Board; Council Member of the Hong Kong Productivity Council; Employees’ Compensation Insurance Residual Scheme; and the Steering Committee on Innovation and Technology, to name just a few.

In 2003, he was awarded a Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) and in 2007 he was appointed a Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Hong Kong SAR Government. In 2009, he was awarded a Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS).

Mr. Yin was the 2005 recipient of the International Alumni Award from Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
