Dean's Advisory Council: William C. Killgallon

Mr. William C. Killgallon started his career with The Ohio Art Company in 1969 as a Corporate Development Director; he was promoted in 1972 to Vice-President of Administration; he became Executive Vice-President in 1976; President and CEO in May, 1978; and Chairman of the Board in June, 1989.

In 1960 Mr. Killgallon received his B.S. Degree in Finance from the Ohio State University and in 1976 he completed the University of Virginia Executive Management Program.

Following graduation from college, Mr. Killgallon served for three years in military intelligence in Korea and the United States. From 1964 to 1968 he was a Commercial Lending Officer with The Bank of New York and in 1967 - 1968, while on leave from the bank, he was Family Campaign Director, the "Nixon for President" Committee. He has also served as County and District Finance Chairman for many Republican congressional and senatorial campaigns.

Mr. Killgallon is a Presbyterian Elder; a member of the Masonic Organization; a director of Columbia Ventures (an SBIC holding company); and a former Hillsdale College Trustee. He is also a former director of the Toy Industry Association; former director of State Troopers of Ohio; former YWCA Trustee as well as a former Finance Chairman of the YWCA Building Committee. He is former Chairman/Trustee of The Buckeye Institute, a "think tank" located in Columbus; and a member of the Dean's Advisory Council, Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University.

Mr. Killgallon enjoys sports, particularly biking, skiing, basketball, tennis, and handball. He is married to Susan Offill Killgallon and they have five children - Bill, a 1992 Hillsdale graduate; twin sons, Paul and David, also Hillsdale graduates; Carrie, a Hillsdale grad; and Lauren, a University of Virginia grad; and seven grandchildren.
