Dean's Advisory Council: Robert M. Eversole

Robert M. Eversole, President and CEO, leads Fifth Third Bank, Central Ohio. Encompassing more than 20 years of Fifth Third banking experience Mr. Eversole began his career with Fifth Third Bancorp as a management trainee in Cincinnati. In 1985 Bob moved to Columbus to be a part of the Fifth Third Bank start-up team concentrating on commercial banking. Later he moved back to Cincinnati as part of the Large Corporate banking group where he was responsible for business development in New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania. He then managed the commercial banking division at Fifth Third Bank, Kentucky in Louisville for eight years before being promoted to Executive Vice President and division head for commercial banking in Chicago. Mr. Eversole directed all aspects of the Commercial Bank including Middle Market Banking, Large Corporate Banking, Structured Finance, Treasury Management, Public Funds and Municipal Finance, Dealer Finance Services, Commercial Real Estate Banking, International Banking and Foreign Exchange, Healthcare Banking, Capital Markets, Financial Institutions, ESOP Services, Commercial Leasing, Commercial Credit and Merchant Card Services.

Mr. Eversole moved to Columbus to become President & CEO of Fifth Third in Central Ohio in 2003. In addition to his CEO position in Central Ohio, he is responsible for the Fifth Third affiliate banks in Western Ohio, Ohio Valley and Central Florida.

Mr. Eversole presently serves on the Columbus Partnership, Children’s Hospital foundation board, Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce Board, and Columbus State Community College Development Board. He was the Chairman of the American Heart Association 2004 Heart Walk and he served on the Leadership Cabinet of the United Way 2005 campaign. His prior civil leadership roles have included Metro YMCA, Actor’s Theatre, Capital Access Corporation, The Housing Partnership, and the Health Enterprises Network.

Mr. Eversole is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He is married with three children.
