Diversity Resources

Fisher College of Business and The Ohio State University have a wide array of diversity resources including the college's Office of Diversity and Inclusion Student Services, many diverse student organizations and a Multicultural Center, located at the Ohio Union.

Diversity and Inclusion Student Services

Fisher’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion Student Services offers academic counseling, scholarships, need-based financial aid and tutoring services for minority undergraduate and graduate students. It also provides support to campus departments, corporations, companies and agencies which seek to help minority students succeed academically, financially, and socially.

Students Organizations

Student organizations and activities are as varied as our students themselves. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion Student Services provides advisement, encouragement and funding support to 12 minority business student organizations. These organizations are designed to give attention to the particular interests, concerns and challenges of minority students interested in business careers.

Minority business student organizations provide culturally and socially significant vehicles for the establishment of mentorship, career placement and networking opportunities with local businesses, corporations and Fisher alumni located nationally and internationally. Fisher Board Fellows

Fisher Board Fellows partners graduate business students with non-profit boards throughout Central Ohio. The students serve as non-voting board members and providing strategic business assistance while working on fixed-length, strategic projects. Each participating student receives the full support and partnership of a board member who also serves as a mentor.

FisherServes

FisherServes is a graduate student led organization that is committed to promoting awareness of civic and social responsibilities and to connecting Fisher with the surrounding community by leading service-based initiatives throughout the Columbus area.

Each year, Fisher Serves holds several signature events including the Fisher 5K, Fisher Golf Classic and a community service day.

FisherCARES

FisherCARES aims to unite undergraduate business students through service and encourage students to volunteer. By giving back to the community FisherCARES seeks to make a difference in Columbus and throughout the world.

The group, which also provides tutoring for elementary, middle and high school students, helped Ohio State earn a spot on the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
