Donald B. Shackelford

Don Shackelford is chair of Fifth Third Bank, Central Ohio. Prior to that, he was chair of State Savings Bank for 25 years. For two years he served as chair of the thrift industry trade association during which time the organization merged into a new entity called America's Community Bankers.
He serves on a number of boards including The Progressive Corporation, Diamond Hill Investments, and Fifth Third Bank, Central Ohio. He also served as chair of the Ohio State University Hospitals Board of Trustees for several years. He is a director of the Ohio State University Physicians.
Mr. Shackelford is a graduate of Denison University (BA-Economics), where he also serves as a Trustee. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. He also attended The Ohio State University where he received the degree of Doctor of Business Administration (honorary).
