Corbett Price

Corbett A. Price was reared in Baltimore, MD. He earned a Masters degree in health administration from Ohio State in 1975. In 1990, he founded Kurron Shares of America, Inc., a New York-based acquisition, management, and consulting firm that specializes in the restructuring of health care companies. He began his career in health care management in 1975 at HCA, where he served as a vice president from 1983 to 1989.

As head of HCA's Mid-Atlantic Division, he directed the operations of 20 hospitals in four states and the District of Columbia. He has also counseled the governments of Mexico, Barbados, Jamaica, and Bermuda on health care delivery systems and their facilities. Corbett sits on several not-for-profit and for-profit companies. At Ohio State, he provided a lead gift to support the creation of a professorship in Health Services Management and Policy (HSMP) in the College of Medicine and Public Health’s School of Public Health, where he also established an endowment to fund scholarships, technological enhancements, and training programs.

In addition, he has supported the Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in the Americas, an interdisciplinary research center to be established at Ohio State. He is recognized by The Presidents Club, in addition to his role as a Foundation Board director. He resides in the state of Florida.
